Take the road from Fethiye to Oludeniz and just over half way you will find Hisaronu and Ovacik. Hisaronu seems quiet any laid back during the day but changes in character as evening approaches. The main street in lined with bars and nightclubs / discos which spring into life after the sun goes down. Hisaronu is the resort for those who want a more lively holiday and want to party into the night.

There is a selection of good basic hotels and also private Villas and Apartments for rent. Nearby Ovacik which is only five minutes walk away has some very good quality family run hotels and is a much quieter area with a few good restaurants, no discos and quiet bars, so you can have the best of both worlds.

The Apartment and Location

Almond Grove in Hisaronu is a small development of just 12 duplex apartments sharing a good size communal pool, and pretty landscaped gardens. All three bedrooms are light and spacious, with beautiful mountain views of Hisaronu from each window.
The development lies on the very edge of Hisaronu, surrounded by mountains and pine forests,ensuring that its peaceful both day and night. Friendly Hisaronu is one of the most popular tourist resorts in Turkey. There are no high rise hotels and apartments here to spoil the wonderful mountain views. Also, unlike some resorts, there is no busy main road through the centre of the village, making it a very safe place for children.

Guests staying at this property will be able to use the facilities of the Nicholas Park and Nicholas Gardens Hotels. This includes pools, water slides, restaurants, bars, games rooms, Turkish baths, massage and a daily entertainment programme.

In the village of Hisaronu you will find many bars and restaurants, catering for all tastes, whether thats typical Turkish food, or British dishes. Theres also a good choice of gift shops, boutiques, mini-markets, car hire, hairdressers, turkish baths - in fact everything you could possibly want

Further Afield

The famous lagoon at Olu Deniz is only 10 minutes by local bus. A beautiful conservation area in its own rights, the sea is the most vivid shade of turquoise, and from here you can enjoy many different water sports as well as paragliding, canoeing, snorkelling and pedal boats. GUEST STAYING AT THIS PROPERTY WILL HAVE ACCESS TO A FREE AIR CONDITIONED COACH WHICH WILL TAKE YOU TO GENC PRIVATE BEACH ON THE LAGOON, RETURNING YOU IN THE EVENING.
The colourful Lycian port of Fethiye is just 20 minutes by local bus. You can wander through the port at night admiring the fishing boats, pleasure boats and gulets whilst watching the sun go down. See the local fishermen bring in their catch, then choose your own fish at the local market, and have it cooked in the market restaurants - a great experience costing very little.
The popular resort of Calis can be reached by local bus from Fethiye, or by taking a water taxi. Here there is a long promenade, lined with cafes, bars and shops for a wander, or to sit and watch the world go by.

Whatever your desire, you will surely find its possible to do whilst in Hisaronu. Scuba Diving, Paragliding, Jet-Sking, Sailing, White Water Rafting, Boat Trips with stops for a barbecue lunch, Quad Biking, Horse Riding, Canoeing on the lagoon (look out for the turtles). The choice is endless - or just relax by the pool, and enjoy the mountains, blue sky, and beautiful clean air. The restaurants in Hisaronu are good and plentiful, with Turkish, Chinese and Indian food on offer.

Hisaronu does not have a beach but nearby Oludeniz which boasts one of the best beaches in Turkey is only a short 10 minute bus ride away. The small Buses (Dolmus)
run roughly every 10 - 15 minutes the fare to Oludeniz being around 1.5 Turkish Lira.

For those seeking holiday activities, horse riding is available locally or consider a microlight flight which takes you over Oludeniz to Butterfly Valley, you get some simply breath taking views and photographs. For those who like to fly, nearby Oludeniz is one of Europe's top Paragliding destinations, tandem flights are offered daily, a unique holiday experience.
